We are planning to offer a brand-new group class beginning at the studio in 2012:  Folkestra Toronto.

Folkestra Toronto takes the folk music experience to the next level - a chance to learn in an ensemble focused on traditional and contemporary Canadian folk and fiddle music.

Conceived of and led by our beloved new piano/fiddle instructor Emilyn Stam (who studied, collaborated and recorded with the late Oliver Schroer), Folkestra Toronto welcomes stringed instruments of all kinds, whistles, accordions, and more!

We recommend players have at least 2 years of playing experience in order to register for folkestra, but if you'd like to come and are unsure about whether your level of experience will be enough, please let me (Annie) know.

All music will be taught be ear so please bring some sort of recording device to take the music home with you!
