We presented the first-ever Michael Johnston Music Studio summer camp from August 1 - 5, 2011.  Our teachers inspired six campers to try new instruments, jam together, record and have fun by creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere.  What fun!

We covered rhythm and percussion (with Kelly-Anne), guitar, harmony singing and recording (with Lori), guitars and improvisation (Brian), keyboards, accordion and recording (Michael ) and managed to rehearse and record together as a group of six.

We recorded (and multi-tracked!) an original arrangement of "Lean On Me"; wrote a song based on the 12-bar blues; jammed "3 Little Birds", all while trying out new instruments like accordion, upright bass and electric organ. 

Response to the camp has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are so excited about offering more camps and group lessons in 2012.
